Evaluation Phase

Evaluation period: 16-30 April 2026

Results announcement: 1 May 2026 (via platform notification to all applicants)

Applications will be reviewed by the FORESTT program's Executive Committee (COMEX), comprising its two co-directors (Christophe Plomion and Arnaud Sergent, INRAE), representatives from CIRAD (Daniel Barthélémy and Plinio Sist) and CNRS (Jérôme Chave and Guillaume Decocq) and the program coordinator (Fanny Gascuel, INRAE).

For eligible projects (see eligibility criteria), evaluation will focus on:

  • The project's alignment with certain scientific challenges of the FORESTT PEPR;
  • The project's contribution to the objectives of the mobility call;
  • Opportunities and perspectives for scientific collaboration;
  • Consistency between the project and the requested resources.

The opinions of the scientific leads from the home and host laboratories will also be taken into account.

Priority will be given to:

  • Candidates with less than 5 years of professional experience;
  • For incoming mobility, applicants from Mediterranean and tropical countries.

Mobility Period

Missions must be scheduled between September 2026 and August 2027:

  • Start of the mission: between 01/09/2026 and 31/07/2027
  • End of the mission: between 01/10/2026 and 31/08/2027

Note: Applications may cover entire stays or extensions of stays already organized under other frameworks.

Reporting requirements

Within one month after completing their mission, all awardees must submit to the email address [email protected]:

  • A short public report (approximately 1 page) and 1 to 3 photos, which will be highlighted as part of a PEPR FORESTT update (newsletter, social media, website, etc.) and if needed serve as proof of expenditure for ANR justification;
  • An affidavit stating the final cost of the mission (which - if the managing institution is a partner in the PEPR governance project except INRAE, CNRS and Cirad - will enable the mission to be reimbursed a posteriori, based on real expenses).

Incoming scientists will also be invited to contribute to FORESTT PEPR events.
