International Mobility Grant - PEPR FairCarboN

International mobility grants for inbound/outbound scientists who are working on carbon dynamics in continental ecosystems

Welcome to the platform for submitting and evaluating applications for the FairCarboN call for international mobility

FairCarboN is an exploratory PEPR programme focused on carbon dynamics in continental ecosystems. FairCarboN has the following overarching objectives:
  1. unearthing knowledge about key biochemical processes operating at continental scales;
  2. developing the next generation of numerical models for scientists and stakeholders alike;
  3. working with diverse stakeholders to create, test, and evaluate different potential land-use trajectories and regional resource management practices.

In this context, we are launching this Mobility funding for inbound/outbound scientists who are working on carbon dynamics in continental ecosystems. Specifically, these focused international exchanges should promote the sharing of data, tools, and methodologies or the acquisition of scientific and technical skills linked to one of the 4 scientific areas of the PEPR FairCarboN and possibly to projects funded by the PEPR (targeted projects or projects funded by calls for projects).

PEPR FairCarboN

The Priority Research Programmes and Equipments (PEPR) "FairCarboN" aims to bring together the entire French scientific community studying carbon in continental ecosystems. With funding of 40 M€ over 6 years, FairCarboN will help to determine the possible contribution of continental ecosystems to climate change mitigation, without which the objective of the Paris climate agreement will be unattainable.

Priority Research Programmes and Equipments (PEPR) are funded as part of the France2030 investment plan. A PEPR is a nationwide programme designed to structure, consolidate and raise the international visibility of the scientific community working in an area considered a priority at national or European level.
