One aspect of the research programme aims to support incoming/outgoing mobility projects for scientists working on these themes through the launch of a specific call for projects. It will support international exchanges, with a view to sharing data, tools, methods, scientific orientations or acquiring scientific and technical skills related to one of the 5 scientific axes of the PEPR B-BEST and possibly to one of the projects funded by the PEPR. This call will be launched annually.
A more sober society must be encouraged in order to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, and the use of fossil carbon must be banned as far as possible. The transition from a petrochemical-based economy to bio-based products and services is seen as a major part of this global transition, and many challenges need to be met in order to transfer the results of scientific research in this field to the socio-economic world. It is also a real paradigm shift that will only be operational if the solutions it provides are more competitive in every respect: in terms of cost, price, attributes and functionalities. In this context, the PEPR B-BEST aims to support fundamental research into bio-based products and services.
