An ambitious interdisciplinary research program
The Priority Research and Equipment Program (PEPR) FORESTT is an ambitious interdisciplinary research program focused on the socio-ecological transition of forest systems in temperate, Mediterranean, and tropical regions. It is positioned upstream of the many supports provided by France 2030 to the forest-wood sector along the research-education-development-innovation continuum. It also aims to foster synergies between the academic world and the socio-economic sector to address the issue of adaptation and resilience of forest socio-ecosystems to global changes.
Its objectives are to:
- Unite, structure, and sustain integrated research supporting the changes in forest socio-ecosystems;
- Promote systemic approaches, interdisciplinarity, and co-construction with stakeholders;
- Strengthen initial and continuous training capacities;
- Propose and experimente innovative pathways for adaptive management, restoration, and conservation of forests.
